Frequently asked questions
Group purchasing is a purchasing strategy whereby groups of independent buyers with similar needs combine their purchasing power to get discounts and favorable terms on the goods and services they buy. GPOs manage the group purchasing process and negotiate contracts with suppliers on behalf of the buyers they represent. A lot of industries have GPOs already, from healthcare to hotels – but Sports Purchasing Group is the first group to do this in the youth sports industry.
Becoming a member of SPG is absolutely free. All you’ll need is an email address and club / program website to sign up.
No. There is no obligation to purchase from our supplier partners. You can pick and choose which supplier partners you purchase from, and there are no minimum order quantities.
Actual transactions will take place on supplier websites; however, you’ll need to access the supplier websites through the SPG Marketplace to ensure you lock in our exclusive pricing.
Please let us know by emailing info@sportspurchasinggroup.com! We are always trying to add new suppliers to our Marketplace to create a true one-stop shopping experience.
